I would like to thank the Southern Spit Roast & BBQ team for providing a delicious and substantial meal for my daughter’s 21st birthday last night. Our 50 guests were very impressed with the spread and enjoyed the dinner immensely judging by all the compliments. The caterer was very pleasant, efficient and unobtrusive and did a wonderful job. The portions were generous and we look forward to dining out on Southern Spit BBQ for the rest of this week, possibly longer. I am delighted to recommend this company to others looking for an Auckland caterer at a reasonable price with wonderful food and close attention to customer service.

  My wife and I planned to get married on May 2019 and after being disappointed when looking for dinner options on a tight budget, we found the Southern Spit Roast & BBQ just a few months before the event. We selected the menu and contacted the team to confirm availability. A few more email and we were all set for the event.The team hosted our wedding dinner and we could have not asked for more. The variety of the dishes, presentation of the food, the customer service, the timing between the dishes, everything was perfect.I definitely recomend them, we took a chance based on the good reviews and I am happy to say that we took the right decision.

  We used Southern Spit Roast to cater our Christmas work function for 60 people. Despite our initial excitement at the ease of ordering from what looked like a great menu, this rapidly faded when our food was delivered over 3 hours early. We were assured that the containers would keep the food warm and cold, but our meats were lukewarm (at best), cut bread loaves were stale, and the hot, buttered potatoes didn't even turn up! It was a decidedly average dinner for our team and the overall feeling was one of disappointment - although dessert was quite yummy!We passed our feedback onto the company via email and they have offered an apology and are looking into the problems which has brought this review up from being a single star.

  Just want to say a huge thank you to Graham and Shelly for making our event so successful. The food was so easy to organise, service was friendly and helpful and everything was perfect and on time. We have had amazing feedback from our friends and family about the food we ordered (ham/pork, beef and lamb) - the ham as a particular hit , the lamb was beautiful and even the gravy received lots of comments.The staff we dealt with were all incredibly professional and friendly. I highly recommend using Southern Spit Roast & BBQ - great value for money and they made our experience really easy and positive.- THANK YOU!

  Southern spit roast recently catered our wedding in Tauranga.The food was AMAZING! I have had so many people comment in the weeks after the wedding about how much they loved the food! Thank you guys so much for the best meal and such awesome service, the ladies were super helpful and friendly and they made it all so easy!

  We had Southern Spit Roast at our workplace, they were easy to work with, they conquered getting masses of food up the lift, down the long corridors, set up beautifully in our canteen, and with one of their people overseeing the food set up. They were amazing, we will have them again I'm sure. Colleen

Our wedding day was exceptional, the food was amazing! Succulent and delicious! Our guests raved about it and still are!   Good value ex food

  These guys did an excellent job right from the initial phone contact through to supplying the catering for our wedding last Saturday. It was enjoyed by all, even the vegetarians who were delighted to have such a wide selection to choose from. We have only had compliments on how lovely it was and we thought the set up and service was exceptional. So much going on for us, it was awesome how you just went about your business with no distruption with great friendly staff and we loved the meal and of course the succulent meat selection. We are so pleased we chose the right company for the job as they provided a memorable meal for all! Perfect.

  So so happy with everything to do with Southern Spit Roast Co. that we used for my husbands 50th bday on sat. From the booking and choosing the food to the evening. The guys were great with communication the whole way though but what I loved the most is that they made the evening so easy and they were so low maintenance in every way. They just took care of everything and I could get on with relaxing with my guests. They set the bun on the run buffet up in our driveway (as we had 85 peeps in our house) and then just came in and let us know when the food was ready to go. All the guests came down and grabbed a plate and the guests loved the food it was delicious. Afterwards the team packaged all the leftovers up and bought them into the dining room. They never had to bother us with questions -0 they were super self sufficient and we are so they catered for us. Total value for money too.

  The food was AMAZING and the service was SPECTACULAR!Right from the very first contact made, Shelley was very responsive and genuine in her communication. She guided me in choosing the best plan for my event, and on the day, provided excellent service! The two ladies that came out were fantastic, and just went with the flow as we were running a bit behind and just worked around us and our needs on the spot. They were just amazing, considering it was quite hot that day. Both of them truly need to be commended on how amazing they were. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the food. Honestly, I could not be more impressed. Will definitely be using you in the future!
